Anyone over the age of eighteen, who has legal responsibility for a player and has joined UK Kids Golf as a member can enter a player(s) into competitions. In the majority of cases the member entering a player(s) will be their parent or guardian.
All county tour competitions are open to everyone. It doesn’t matter if you have just started or been playing golf for a while every boy and girl is welcome. The key requirement is to have a try and have fun. No handicaps are required.
To find a county tour go to Competition Schedule find the most appropriate region and select a county tour from the list. Each county tour has competitions you can enter. Each county tour competition has a limited number of places and so entry is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Each competition invites entries from both boys and girls in the following age groups:
There is a £5 annual membership fee for every parent/guardian who wishes to register a player(s) to play in the competitions. The cost to play in a single county tour competition is £10. If a player qualifies for a regional final the cost per player is £20 and if a player qualifies for the grand final the cost per player is £30.
Individual player tee times are listed 7 days prior to the competition date on the competition listing on the website. Generally players are grouped in threesomes based on their ages.
All players should register their arrival at the competition venue at least 30 minutes prior to his/her designated tee time. The player (not parent/guardian) must register.
Any decisions regarding weather delays and/or cancellations will be made on-site the day of each event. Everything possible will be done to get a competition played, even if we have to reduce the number of holes. In the case of a shortened event, participants will still receive full order of merit points. Unfortunately, there are no refunds for weather related shortened tournaments.
Practice rounds are not supplied UK Kids Golf for any competitions. You must call the competition venue and secure your own tee times. Some courses will offer you a discounted rate if you identify yourself as a UK Kids Golf member. Pay the competition venue on the day of the practice round. Do not pay UK Kids Golf for practice rounds.
